The Faculty of Pre-university and Extended Education (FDP i DOU) provides the pre-higher education at NSTU. The main lines of activity in the field of pre-university education are organization of Open Home events at NNSTU, its Institutes and Faculties, setting up the meetings, lectures, tours around the Departments and laboratories of the University for pupils from secondary general education institutions, students of vocational schools, technical schools and colleges; organization and support of different preparatory courses and subject schools for senior pupils of the general education schools, students of vocational schools, technical schools and colleges, young employees; interaction with the NNSTU - supported schools, vocational schools, technical schools, colleges, works training centers; establishment and support of activities of the core classes in the NNSTU-supported schools; organization and holding of the creative competitions of the pupils of the general secondary education institutions (contests, business games, festivals); organization of the Pupils' Scientific Society; holding of centralized testing; editing the teaching aids, education, information and other materials to train entrants for entering the NNSTU.
