Now 7640 students of different forms of training study at the Technical University and its branches.
In total study in NSTU more than 27000 students, full-time training - 18000 students.

Our University cooperates with 95 base secondary schools in the city and region.

At present 495 are being trained in various specialities at NSTU.

Retraining Institute (IPS):

In 2005-2006 964 specialists from various enterpises and organizations received additional professional training.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) program:

In 2002 to 2006 65 people were trained under the program, 41 are being trained now.

Nizhny Novgorod Educational Consortium:

1029 students were trained under the managerial staff preparation program in 1998 to 2006.

NSTU coordination with the employers is the key improvement factor for the quality of higher education and efficiency of the economy of Nizhny Novgorod region.

5237 full-time students (83%) take practical training at base enterprises.

Various kinds of the students' practical training at industrial enterprises and degree research on their base.

Target admission of the young people working at [industrial] enterprises to the departments with all modes of study paid at the expense of the enterprise.

Establishment and operation of training departments at the enterprises.

Establishment and operation of NSTU basic training depts at the enterprise premises.

Arrangement of accelerated training for the leavers of technical colleges and schools.

Evening courses and instruction by correspondence as on-the-job training for the enterprise personnel.

Attraction of the leading specialists in industry to teach at the university and participate in graduates' certification on combine-job basis.
