Main Tasks of the Department

• creation of optimal social and cultural environment, aimed at creative self-expression and self-actualization of students;
• forming of students’ civic position, reservation and increase of moral, cultural and scientific values in conditions of present-day life, preservation and revival of university traditions;
• satisfaction of individual needs in intellectual, cultural, moral and physical development;
• working-out of students’ constructive strategy of behaviour at labour – market.

General Functions of the Department

• provides coordinating, prospective and current planning of educational, extracurricular work and its realization within faculties and university on the whole;
• elaborates suggestions and recommendations, aimed at perfection of extracurricular system of activity, its staff provision, preparation of methodological and normative documentation on organization of extracurricular activity, including leisure and students' life at hostels of the university;
• assists to students' Trade Union, Students' Council of NSTU, other public associations, clubs and unions;
• carries out preventive measures against violation of law and asocial behaviour in student environment.
